It is quite surprising how even experienced developers pay little attention to quality. Isn’t it obvious that

For some reason, even those who do understand it, seem to ignore it far too often. Solely concentrating on deliverables and trying to chase the schedules is a good recipe for failure (maybe not immediate, but given enough time it WILL happen).
